Create an image of conflict - two equally opposing forces - stalemate.
Choose hues that oppose each other - through conventional or subversive means.
How can you segment and divide space to generate a heightened level of contrast - to what end does that contrast play out in the viewers' perception? Think of visual oppositions - soft-hard, hot-cold, fast-slow. How can you use color and boundaries to achieve conflict? Can tension and balance exist despite each other?
